Accounting Clerk

An accounting clerk produces and maintains financial records. They are tasked with data entry specific to financial records and receipts.

Job duties include :

  • General Bookkeeping
  • A lot of data entry of invoices
  • Reconciliations
  • Issuing Cheques
  • Remittances for the union
  • Data entry of payroll
  • Bank statements and deposits
  • Send year documents to the Accountant
  • Assets

    Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities

  • Accounting education or 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Must be computer savvy and well-versed in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate successfully with co-workers
  • Is a team player with a proven work ethic but is self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Working towards a CPA designation is an asset
