We operate two landfills, a waste transfer facility, six biosolids stabilization plants, two composting facilities, four organics collection and recycling facilities, several landfill gas renewable energy projects in Ontario and Manitoba, and a waste haulage company.

Maintenance OperatorToday, we have an opening for a Maintenance Operator at our Halifax Biosolids plant.Our philosophy to biosolids management is simple complete the cycle.

We recover the valuable resources contained in this waste and return them to the earth where they belong.The high standard of our services, technology, and environmental stewardship sets us apart from others in the industry and has created fast-

paced growth across Canada.This is a full time, nonunionized position starting at $23.58 / hour during the probation period, moving to $25.

51 / hour afterwards; including a full benefits package and pension.Responsibilities : * Compliance monitoring* Daily data entry.

  • Operate and maintain process equipment.* Ensure all regular / preventative maintenance is performed and documented.* Maintain inventory of tools, replacement parts and supplies.
  • Documentation of daily processing.* Assist in daily cleanliness / repair of Plant. Requirements : * Highly proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of electronic preventative maintenance programs, an asset.* Experience with inventory and document control systems in an industrial setting.
  • Heavy Equipment Experience (ex. loader)* Grade 12 graduate with some post-secondary training preferred.* Strong communication skills both verbal and written* Familiarity with analytical sampling methods for environmental compliance monitoring.
