Please review the job details below. Reporting to the Director of Government Robotics & Space Systems (GRSS), the Director of Programs primary focus is to maintain, manage and support the GRSS program management office.

The Director of Programs is responsible to ensure that the programs are executed to contract requirements (technical, cost and schedule), and in accordance with MDA business processes.

The Director of Programs is responsible for program delivery of expected revenue, profitability and cash-flow, while maintaining good customer relations.

The Director works as part of the Senior Management team, looking more broadly than only his / her own responsibilities, to achieve business objectives.

The Director is responsible for the hiring and development of program management resources including training, coaching, performance management and career development, ensuring alignment of individual, line of business and corporate objectives.

The Director of Programs may also execute comparable responsibilities in other Lines of Business as agreed with LOB leads.

Ensure program delivery; program objectives, revenue, profitability, cashflow. Manage customer and program risks. Manage inputs to monthly program review package for all GRSS programs.

Conduct monthly program review. Manage monthly program revenue, cash, LRE and operational (manpower, facility) inputs for programs.

Ensure proper make-buy and down-selection processes for subcontracted work, and ensure delivery of subcontracted services / equipment within program technical, budget and schedule requirements.

Manage the program management staffing level, hiring and development of staff; coaching, training and skills development, career development, ensuring alignment with individual, departmental and corporate objectives.

Perform staff performance review with reports (objectives, interim & annual reviews). Establish a continuous improvement culture to improve tools, systems and business processes.

Contribute to business planning (Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Growth Plan). Approve bids for new programs. Define and continuously improve the infrastructure needed to monitor performance of programs through reporting and reviews with stakeholders.

Works as part of the Management team, looking broader than his / her own responsibilities, to achieve the LOB(s) business plan goals and objectives.

Maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
