REVELSTOKE BUILDING AND LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE PERSON – $19 to $21 per hour and $1000 seasonal contract completion bonus.

  • JOB DESCRIPTION  

    To us, employees are treated the same as our guests. This career is for the hands-on fix-it person. You will work outside in all weather conditions and inside the buildings. The maintenance person ensures the hotel is kept in good repair and above brand standard. You help keep the gardens, lawns, and parking lots safe and maintained. Your work is the first impression your guests see upon their arrival and in their hotel stay, you take pride in your work and take initiative to solve maintenance issues. While interacting with guests, you help guide your guests with your knowledge of hotel and community services and amenities. You are not just a hotel maintenance worker, you are a host of our community of Revelstoke. You are a kind, patient, and welcoming person with your guests. For us, your professionalism, mindful personality is valued and in return, we will help guide you to be proficient in your job with ongoing training and opportunities.

    GUEST SERVICES HOST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Greet all guests arriving or departing 

  • Drive vehicles to gather supplies and equipment 

  • Go the extra mile and help guests as necessary 

  • Help guests explore Revelstoke with your breadth of knowledge of local activities, restaurants, and local history. 

  • Help solve guests’ problems and issues with win-win solutions

  • Keep parking lots, and walking paths clear of snow and ice

  • Landscape maintenance and gardening 

  • Watering plants

  • Pool and hot tub maintenance and chemical balance

  • Repair wall damage with paint, wallpaper, etc.

  • Keep pools, water slides, and hot tubes sanitized and above health regulations 

  • Minor appliance repair

  • Fix landscaping equipment 

  • Be a solutions and problem solver

  • In-room maintenance and repair as necessary 

  • Conduct preventive maintenance or provide solutions to management 

  • Keep maintenance logs and communicate with the front desk

  • Order and keep supplies in stock 

  • Maintain the Marriott brand standards

  • Keep a clean and safe environment

  • Ensure the security of the hotel and guests is maintained 

  • Help other departments as necessary

  • Lift up to 50lbs

  • Seek out learning opportunities and professional development 

  • Represent the Ramada brand with positivity while interacting with the public

  • Wear issued uniforms with steal-toed boots, work pants, and work shirts while on shift as directed by company policy.

  • Have fun at work and help your cohort to be their best 

  • Other duties as requested by the management.
