What is the opportunity?

The Senior Enterprise Agile Coach is responsible for formulating the coaching strategy and approach for complex multi-team environments and portfolio level initiatives.

The coach is engaged in consulting, education, mentoring and coaching support for key delivery roles in a complex multi-

team environment as well as the executive ranks and management throughout RBC. This role is key to furthering the adoption of agile principles and context-

specific practices in the organization, corporate productivity improvements, improved quality, enhanced speed to market and increased customer satisfaction.

Success in this role is measured in terms of the overall improvement in the agile maturity of the organization that the role supports

What will you do?

  • Enable programs / portfolios in the application of current RBC agile practices by providing hands on coaching & support
  • Deliver a solution or service that meets the needs of the Line of Business as part of a consultative engagement. Accurately recognizing context of program / portfolio opportunities and making appropriate recommendations or providing solutions
  • Improve the agile maturity and agile adoption by the program / portfolio levels
  • Determine & make recommendations on which delivery frameworks and methodologies are relevant to different complex initiatives (e.
  • g. scrum, Kanban, scaled Agile) in order to deliver highest value in a timely manner

  • Engage sponsoring executives, IT and Business leads, to establish trusted partnerships that enable commitment and buy-in to agile practices.
  • Support the development of agile coaches, team members and their leaders through mentoring, education, training, etc.

  • Build GTI Agile competency through 1 : 1 coaching with internal Agile Coach(es) at all levels
  • Ongoing evolution of existing programs and related Scrum / Kanban teams, more specifically increasing competence in : Intake funnel and Program KanbanVision and Value Stream(s)Mid to long-term roadmaps
  • Support configuration, maintenance and evolution of Agile relative to GTI Executive Strategy and direction. Support internal PMO in the Agile Transformation
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must have :

  • 5 + years continuous experience as an Agile Coach across multiple large organizations and multiple team of teamsincluding extensive experience in coaching and mentoring senior leadership
  • 2+ years’ experience performing 1 or more delivery roles (i.e. Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer / Program Facilitator) in a complex multi-
  • team environment (e.g. agile program)

  • Experience with implementing / training agile methodology and scaled frameworks (e.g. SAFe) in an established environment (i.
  • e. non start up environment) including experience applying recognized scaled Agile techniques(e.g. Program increment planning, Program Retrospective and the Scrum of Scrums)

  • Agile Certification (e.g. Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Professional, SAFe Agilist)
  • Nice to have :

  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) and / or SAFe Agilist certifications are highly desirable
