Employment : Job Description :

Responsible for the organizing and execution of all weekly events. Aid in the organization and execution of special events.

The Events Supervisor must thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, and quickly comprehend and act on changing priorities when necessary.

They must demonstrate superior customer service, interpersonal communication and written communication skills.

Position Requirements and Skills :

  • Proven self motivation, ability to work well with minimum supervision
  • Proven experience supervising a team
  • Experience organizing and executing events
  • Excellent organization, timemanagement and communication skills
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail
  • Work well within a diverse team environment
  • Flexible availability : including evenings, early mornings, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Position Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Organizing and execution of all weekly events handled by the Guest Services Department, including execution of special events
  • Responsible for the daily oversight of both the Events Team and Guest Services Support Team
  • Create and deliver weekly event programming enhance existing programming
  • Manage execution of Special Events as directed by GSM including : Cruz the Blues, Big White Invitational Slopestyle, Craft and Country Beer and Music Mountain Festival, Christmas Eve Celebrations, Australia Day, Valentine’s Day, Big Reds etc.
  • Maintain and control prizing / concession supplies inventory
  • Responsible for the training of Events Team
  • Work cooperatively as a member of the Guest Services Team
  • Comply with all department policies and procedures
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
  • Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
  • Physical Demands :

  • Must be able to sit and stand for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25lbs
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, squat, stoop and stretch to fulfill duties
  • Requires grasping, using tools, writing, standing, sitting, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
