As a key member of the digital onboarding product team, you will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives, which arise throughout the year, and may span across multiple business lines or customer journeys.
You will work with both business and technology partners in understanding & addressing strategic challenges, defining clear approach, and outlining the value or impact of a program.
You will understand the significance of being compliant, while always negotiating and pushing for the benefit of good customer experience & high business value.
We’re looking for an individual who loves problem solving across a wide variety of challenges and focus areas
Is this role right for you?
Own the regulatory and compliance roadmap for all of Scotiabank customers, across product lines
Lead problem discovery to understand customer needs, current challenges and work closely with design and engineering partners to come up with solutions
Establish clear OKRs for your product area and work with analytics team to measure and assess key performance indicators (KPIs)
Use data to drive decisions. Build hypothesis, test & iterate to formulate an agile product development approach
Maintain a prioritized backlog, write detailed user stories and participate in sprint planning & review activities. Engage day-to-day with the scrum teams, clarifying questions and helping with decision making
Establish a close relationship with the business stakeholders and especially the governance functions (, AML, privacy, legal, ) to ensure that their requirements are translated in an efficient and effective way.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?
You have 5+ years of experience in a role building customer facing digital products
You have ability to pivot without losing context, and are able to manage multiple thought streams
You have experience in the financial industry, preferably working closely on a compliance or regulatory initiative
You are a strong problem solver and have a flair for getting things done
You have excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
You have a curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty
Your verbal and written communication skills are exceptional, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels in the organizations
