    What you get to do : This position is responsible for soliciting, and contracting Corporate Travel Accounts Your day-to-day :

  • Develop / Create Exciting and Memorable site inspections / inventive and creative proposals
  • Develop and recommend prospective Corporate Travel Accounts, Third Party Meeting planners, and Company Group Meetings accounts from free market information as well as purchased lead sources, analysis of statistical information
  • Participate in the conducting of customer interviews and preparing call analysis reports
  • Solicit Group, and Business Transient rooms business, Banquet, and other function business directly and jointly with others through the preparation, execution, and completion of action plans
  • Prepare, construct, present creative customer proposals, and negotiate contracts on the resorts behalf
  • Upon closing, coordinate and follow up with the other resort departments to ensure delivery of superior guest service
  • Prepare reports as needed and required by Kimpton Hotels
  • Book Corporate Business to an agreed upon goal within an assigned region
  • Present creative customer focused proposals
  • Create and enforce the site inspection process, that delivers an exciting and memorable visit that is also comprehensive and understanding to the customers needs
  • Will be called upon to Entertain clients - defined as but not limited to : taking clients to breakfast, lunch or dinner, meeting for drinks, going off property to Destination attractions
  • Provide department colleagues with proper communication that will enhance our ability to deliver exceptional service
  • Maintain running site inspection calendar
  • Conduct outside sales calls to deliver new business and maintain existing business relationships Specific experience we're seeking :
  • Have engaged in structured sales training, strategic account management, organizational skills, knowledge of customer needs, sales practices, tech savvy, space management, business analysis, goal achievement, product knowledge
  • Self starter with internal drive to excel in performance
  • Possess good typing and computer literacy skill
  • Successfully demonstrated selling skills and competencies that are at a minimum above industry average and have been representing the Luxury or Boutique Hotel Segment.
  • Skill sets and Competencies include but not limited to; Corporate travel contract negations, operating systems such as Synexis, Ariba, Lanyon, and Nexis.

  • Host site inspections at anytime during a 7 day a week period - thus a flexible work schedule is a must
  • Comprehensive understanding of Delphi Sales systems
  • Participate in trade shows, conventions, and promotional events within the hotel, industry, and customer organizations QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10-
