Responsibilities Drive improvements on short-term cash flow forecast at George Weston Group of Companies by developing strong partnerships with the businesses and coordinating with appropriate stakeholders across the enterprise to evaluate evolving business issues Understand processes and working capital requirements of businesses across the George Weston group of companies and drive efforts to improve working capital forecasting Evaluate opportunities to utilize supply chain financing to support working capital initiatives across the business Interpret and analyze data received from the operating units and provide appropriate recommendations to unlock trapped cash in the system Proactively perform financial analysis and utilize quantitative techniques through statistical modelling to continuously improve the forecasting and liquidity planning process Analyze variances to forecast and communicate updates to senior management on a timely basis Drive Treasury’s world-class initiative on reporting and forecasting by mapping out the processes to create efficiencies and implement the use of statistical analytical tools and technologies (i.
e., Power BI, R, Python, etc.) Produce cash reporting and support the review of financial statements as it relates to cash flow and liquidity Assist in preparing presentations in support of board and shareholder meetings, monthly / quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the company Support other Treasury initiatives and functions, as required Qualifications : 3 to 5 years of experience managing cash flows & corporate liquidity or similar capacity University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Math is required Good working understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements Accounting / Finance designation (CPA or CFA) is preferred Forward thinking and inquisitive, with a willingness to actively engage in understanding the business Strong quantitative and analytical skills with aptitude for create effective spreadsheets and explain variances Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and able to communicate and with all levels of the organization, in a professional and competent manner
