The Harris Corporate IT team is seeking an infrastructure manager to lead our Data Center Services infrastructure group to design, maintain and improve existing and newly acquired infrastructure environments.

You will play a critical role in reviewing new business acquisition environments with a goal of identifying and implementing enterprise level best practice solutions and improvements, designing new environments to accommodate mergers and acquisitions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities · Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of server and storage hardware to support internal users.

  • Define, design, and implement server / storage solutions using mixed OS platforms. · Review new acquisition integrations related to datacenter services responsibilities by attending regular integration meetings and liaising between Integrations and Datacenter teams · Approve action requests and specify purchase requirements.
  • Negotiate and place orders with approved vendors. · Day to day management & oversight of incidents escalated to the infrastructure DCS team.

    o Queue management, ensuring requests are being assigned & resolved in a timely fashion. o Ticket reviews of analyst to ensure incidents are assigned to appropriate resource & are being handled accordingly, re-assign as needed.

  • Personnel Management o Mentoring, coaching, and team building. o Determine training requirements for the Data Center staff and drive improvements to skill sets, and performance.
  • o Conduct training for the team on occasion. o Scheduling of activities for the Data Center team, including vacation approvals, training, etc.

    o Career development and performance management of staff o Perform mid-year & year-end reviews. · Data Center Consolidation o Plan and implement DC consolidation of acquired companies into designated facilities, providing simplified DC management and reduced OPEX · Project Management o Lead and / or participate in projects, and plan, design, implement, support, and document best practices.

  • Other o Creation of technical bulletins to customers on an as needed basis. o Understand provisions of services and communicate to customers as needed.
  • Effective teamwork and proficient communication with team members. · Participate and contribute to cross-function IT projects.
  • Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution. · Develop and maintain documentation. · Provide cross training and knowledge transfer to team members.
  • Education and Experience · 10 plus years of management experience over technical teams · Experience managing remote / distributed teams · Knowledge of Data Center infrastructure (Windows / Linux servers, VMWare, networking, SAN, NAS) · Experience with private and public cloud (AWS / Azure / Oracle) infrastructure and services · Moderate networking experience with Windows file sharing, NTFS, TCP / IP, and DNS.

  • Ability to work in a team environment. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.
  • A Strong dedication to quality customer service. · Experience with Dell servers and storage solutions · ITIL Foundations would be considered an asset · Skills in project planning and execution
