If the answer to these questions is yes, JLL invites you to apply for the role of Senior Research Analyst to provide reliable, timely, efficient support to our National Capital Markets brokerage team.

The position entails working with a diverse group of internal and external Stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the individual will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload.

This role provides a wide variety of support services to the brokerage teams and the successful candidate will be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a team player attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analysis : Work with research and other team members to compile high quality reports on topical trends at the intersection of commercial real estate, economics, financial markets demographics, and public policy.

Insights : Maintain data across different areas and be able to unlock hidden insights within.

Sales Data : Closely track, record and update data on national property sales across the office, multi family, retail, development lands and industrial real estate markets.

Economic & Demographic Data : Closely track, record and update data on data related to local economies, demographics and current events as it relates to commercial real estate markets.

Visualization : Create compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate trends in real estate markets and the broader economy.

This includes graphical, map-based, or other.

Communication : Present trends and analysis to stakeholders both internal and external. This might be in front of a JLL audience to brief our colleagues on what is happening, or it might be in front of clients to help explain market trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Urban Economics, Urban Planning, or Urban Geography

5+ years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience

Experience in the commercial real estate sector is an asset

Experience in finance (particularly investment banking) is an asset

Demonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;

Adobe Professional, X, or Standard; CRM; MLS; and RECBC

REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent writing skills are a requirement

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

CFA or CPA certification is welcome

Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment

Operates with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to Stakeholders

Professional yet personable demeanor

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Positive and professional attitude and demonstrates professionalism at all times

Detail oriented with strong analytical skills

Able to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others

Proactive and takes initiative

Able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision
