Sus responsabilidades y tareas :

The Human Resources Business Partner plays a key role in supporting business leaders in integrating Human Resources best practices in talent management, talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement and retention, total rewards, employee relations and labor relations.

This position supports two units in Canada : GEA Refrigeration Canada located in Richmond, BC and GEA Canada located in Burlington, Ontario.

More specifically, the Human Resources Business Partner :

Provides human resources advice, consultation and coaching to designated leaders across all aspects of HR to build engaged high performing teams, a diverse and inclusive environment and a great place to work.

Collaborates closely with the global and country HR function to develop, coordinate, facilitate, and implement Human Resources initiatives and solutions aligned with company’s vision, values and strategies.

Proactively collaborates on continuous improvement of HR programs and policies and ensures compliance with local regulations.

Partners with HR & business leaders to ensure HR initiatives are directly aligned with business goals.

Facilitates talent review and succession planning process that identifies top talent, mitigates talent gaps and builds leadership capabilities.

Recommends strategies where gaps are identified.

Leverages organizational development tools and techniques to develop teams, and facilitates effective change management and communication in collaboration with the global / country HR team and business leaders.

Drives collaborative labor relations by working with both Union representatives and management in the resolution of labor relations issues and grievances.

Assists in collective bargaining negotiations as a member of the negotiation committee.

Provides coaching and guidance to assist leaders to develop and maintain proactive employee relations through identification and analysis of issues, challenges, opportunities, risks, and options to support business needs / challenges.

Manages employee relations issues when needed.

Su perfil y calificaciones :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labor relations or Business Administration
  • 6-8 years of experience as an HR Professional in an engineering & manufacturing company, with the core experience supporting a business unit with HR Business Partner duties
  • Proven knowledge and experience with human resources best practices, employment law and labor relations including collective bargaining negotiation
  • Proven track record of establishing relationships across all levels of the organization and developing strong stakeholder credibility
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, but also capable of consistently and successfully delivering on tactical responsibilities
  • Other skills & Compétences :

  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving and assessment skills
  • Strong analytic capability, can identify and diagnose pressing business challenges, uncover insights to enhance decision making and align organization strategy to talent decisions
  • Hands-on mindset in a dynamic working environment, balancing between strategic, tactical and operational topics.
