The Mechanical MaintenanceSupervisor will be responsible to provide supervision and directionto mill maintenance personnel and external maintenance contractorsto work in a safe and productive manner to maximize quality andproduction while minimizing production and maintenance costs andunscheduled downtime.

Your primaryResponsibilities will include the following :

  • Working closely withOperating and Maintenance personnel, the Maintenance Supervisorwill schedule and supervise maintenance and capital work, andparticipate in the development and implementation of programs toensure equipment availability meets or exceeds establishedmaintenance related targets.
  • Utilize the Maintenance & Supply ChainBest Practices in conjunction with the ComputerizedMaintenance Management System (CMMS) for processing work orders,purchase requisitions, weekly schedules, PM's, and updatingthe equipment database;
  • There is a requirement to ensurecompliance to internal and external policies, procedures andregulations with respect to the health and safety of themaintenance crews.
  • Your team :

    Reportingto the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be part of aresults-oriented team whose members are encouraged to exceedexpectations.

    Yourprofile :

  • MechanicalEngineering Degree or diploma required or a red seal tradeticket coupled with at least 2 years ofsupervisory experience withinan industrial manufacturing facility.
  • The ideal candidate would possess an excellentmaintenance knowledge of a pulp and paper or other industrialmanufacturing facility.
  • Your skills and assets :

  • Excellent interpersonal skills required, including anability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structuredenvironment
  • Good communication skills withexcellent strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meetshort and longterm objectives; uses organized and efficient workmethods;
  • Proficient analytical skills requiredas well as a strong background in MS Office and a CMMS preferablySAP.
  • The ideal candidate will possess thedrive and passion to continuously improve upon the health andsafety, efficiency, production, planning and manufacturing cost andmaintenance cost targets for the site.
