Vancouver, BCSenior Electrical Engineer - Vancouver - (AUS0003GG)DescriptionAusenco is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Vancouver.

The successful candidate will have experience in the Mining and Metals industry as well as industrial electrical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer will include but are not limited to the following : Perform electrical engineering detail design calculationsDesign and specify electric power systems and equipment for operation at voltages up to at least 11 kVPerform power system studies (short circuit, load flow, coordination, arc flash, large MV motor starting) using SKM, ETAP or EasyPower softwarePrepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including drawings, equipment and construction / installation specifications, and other supporting documentationAccountable for the quality of deliverables in line with the needs of the customer and regulatory authoritiesOther duties as assigned / required.

  • QualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering;Professional engineering license (P.Eng.) with Canadian experience.10+ years’ experience in designing electrical systemsAbility to work effectively and efficiently in a small team and meet deadlinesEffective communication skills;
  • Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skillsWell-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programsStrong knowledge of regulatory codes and standards, including CSA, NEC and IEEEPrevious experience with protection & control (P&C), telecom, SCADA, transmission, substation layouts and station services is highly regardedAusenco is a global leader in consulting, engineering, project management and operations solutions for the resources and energy sectors.
