Title : Sr. Marketing Coordinator

Location : Barrie, Ontario

Reports To : Marketing Communications Manager

Job Purpose :

Generate concepts of advertising and communication materials for advertising initiatives for all three product lines. Analysis of competitive markets for development of new marketing initiatives.

  • Facilitate content for websites, brochures, product launch announcements, consumer packaging, POP and dealer marketing materials;
  • press releases, copy writing and execution of special projects.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop marketing strategies and promotions with sales leaders and marketing management
  • Analyse competition and developing brands to ensure materials capture appropriate channels and space within the market - in support of the Product Manager
  • Create campaigns based on brand vision with Brand Curator
  • Lead a project team on concepts and content of brochures, ads, dealer support material, flyer programs, POP material, packaging and other marketing projects as assigned.
  • Additionally Mass merchant programs and POP management

  • Facilitate initial requests for photography and video assets
  • Works closely with Marketing Management, Sales, R&D and Product Manager to ensure marketing activities are in line with needs and goals of the company
  • Assigning and Management of project timelines with graphic designers and development team
  • Manage ordering budgets and inventory for brochure and POP materials with the Marketing Communications Manager
  • Train new team members to ensure divisional knowledge is relayed to the marketing team
  • Create descriptive copy for product materials and proof read various materials for accuracy before print
  • Act as liaison for dealers / distributors and other customers for advertising support
  • Maintain a working knowledge of colour theory, printing and marketing trends
  • Special projects as requested
  • Education & Experience :

  • University Degree or College Diploma in related field (Graphic Design, Advertising Media or Marketing Communications), or 6-8 years of relevant work experience
  • Must have 5-8 years’ experience in a coordinating role in the Advertising / Marketing field or Graphic Design industry
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite CS6 or higher (PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
  • Able to adhere to tight deadlines with attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while taking up duties at short notice
  • Must have own transportation and be willing to travel to alternate local facilities
