Our Edmonton office is looking for a Manager to join the Assurance & Accounting team and own the following responsibilities :
Review Audit engagements for private, public and not-for-profit clients to ensure that relevant professional standards and Firm policies are followed
Manage a portfolio of clients and effectively plan, supervise and execute assurance and non-assurance engagements
Develop a portfolio of new clients and business opportunities with existing clients opportunities on an on-going basis
Address Client issues in a timely manner, following BDO Policy and using your strong technical skills and accounting experience
Apply appropriate industry / business knowledge in anticipating, identifying and addressing issues relevant to the client’s business

Your experience and education
Professional designation required (CA, CMA, CGA or CPA)
Must have 1 or more years of management experience in an accounting and / or assurance role
It is a requirement of this role to have at least 1 year of Canadian tax experience
In depth experience in relation to IFRS and ASPE files
Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Act as a leader in the Firm, continually focused on employee engagement
