Network Operations Specialist will be able to communicate effectively with clients. They will be able to remote support network systems including wireless, WAN, LAN, firewalls, IP routing and switching technologies.

Be responsible for day-to-day network maintenance and operations tasks along with escalations. The successful candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to work well within a team or independently.


  • Perform regular analysis of network connectivity through the LAN / WAN infrastructure
  • Configuration of SNMP monitoring, traps, and more to support and provide implementation
  • Complete daily time entries and project updates in our Professional Services Automation system
  • Manage devices for client base
  • Provide Tier II support for networking issues.
  • Generate and analyze Infrastructure reports
  • Support unified communications and load-balancing implementations leveraging Cisco, ShoreTel and Citrix, Fortigate, Riverbed, and Barracuda technologies
  • Provide expert technical assistance to clients and our Service Desk
  • Provide client user training and feedback
  • Work on-call on a rotational basis and conduct maintenance activities outside office hours occasionally.
  • Experience Required

  • 5 + years working with Cisco switches and routers
  • 3 + years working with firewalls e.g. Cisco ASA 55xx, Fortigate etc.
  • 3 + Citrix NetScaler support and administration
  • CCNA is required (Routing & Switching)
  • CCNA Security is a plus
  • CCNP is a plus
  • Must have Citrix NetScaler support and administration
  • A thorough understanding of VLANs and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.)
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting enterprise wireless solutions
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting enterprise routing and switching solutions (VRFs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, STP, VPC, etc.)
  • Experience supporting and implementing different types of WAN connections and VPN technologies (e.g. MPLS, L2, DMVPN, IPsec VPN, etc.)
  • Experience with SOC SIEM support a plus
  • Experience with network management and troubleshooting tools (PRTG, Wireshark, etc.)
  • Configuring SNMP monitoring, traps, etc. to support network management
  • Skilled and well versed in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio
  • Candidates must have valid drivers license and 24 / 7 access to a vehicle.
  • This position will require the candidate to successfully obtain clearance under the Government of Canada Controlled Goods Program.
