Role Description -
This is a general application. Applicants should be aware that Canadian Tire Hillside hires for many different departments, including Warehouse / Logistics, Customer Experience Associates, Cashiers, Guest Services, Automotive Service Technicians, and more.
These different positions require different skill sets, however, for this general application it is important to note that all staff are expected to be ambassadors of their departments who will strive to provide expert product knowledge and assistance to customers.
All roles will be focused on continuous improvement of product knowledge, store systems knowledge, and customer interaction techniques.
A strong orientation towards teamwork and a positive attitude are essential for success in all roles.
General Responsibilities & Tasks :
Smiles, make eye contact, greets and thanks customers.
Is accountable to We Care standards & customer survey results.
Directs customer to the location of requested items.
Maintains a high level of product knowledge through Gold certification in e-learning lessons.
Responds to and handles customer and staff inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
Deals with challenging situations and conflict resolution in a professional manner.
Maintains merchandise around the store and ensures that retail basics are executed efficiently (e.g., labels, facing, clean area, etc.).
Assists with product filling as required (i.e. promotional items).
Maintains a clean & tidy workspace.
Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment.
Abides by all health and safety programs and regulations.
Strives to make customers for life.

Experience in a customer service role and / or with a Canadian Tire store is considered an asset.
