Our local public-sector client requires a Senior Agile Project Manager to lead software development initiatives in support of digitizing provincial curriculum .
The successful candidate will manage a multi-million dollar inflight agile software development application project as well as several small projects within the Digital Content Management and Delivery branch of the Curriculum Division.
Responsibilities will include :
Provide Project Management services in support the development of a new provincial curriculum website, digital resource development and maintenance.
Assign work, monitor and provide project management direction to all Digital Content Management and Delivery staff and consultants to comply with the identified department goals, strategies and standards.
Provide weekly status reports to the Director and Senior Manager, Digital Content Management and Delivery Branch detailing current project status, task reviews and timelines associated with the execution of those tasks.
Lead or assist in the writing of RFPs as needed.
Work with clients to gather requirements as needed.
Mandatory Requirements :
Minimum of 8 years experience directly project managing software development projects
Minimum of 5 years experience managing web or mobile based software development projects
Minimum of 5 years experience using MS Project or other project management tool
Experience project managing agile development projects
Desirable Skills :
Experience project managing multi-million dollar projects (5 years)
Experience gathering requirements on software development projects (3 years)
Experience writing RFPs (3 years)
Experience working on education related software development projects (3 years)
Experience managing software development projects utilizing cloud infrastructure (3 years)
