The Executive Director will provide government-wide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology solutions and initiatives for the corporate financial system (CFS) as governments corporate enabler for financial management in accordance with the Financial Administration Act.

The position also provides government-wide leadership, expertise and support for the effective governance of government’s Financial Management Information Systems vision under the direction of the Comptroller General.

Job Requirements :

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below :

  • Completion of a degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in information management and / or information technology;
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be experienced.

  • A minimum of five years of related experience in a complex information systems environment (e.g. in a service environment with multiple client groups), with at least 5 years in a management role at the Director level or above leading new business development projects and / or business transformation projects involving a diverse range of project portfolios.
  • A minimum of five years of experience leading, developing and implementing information management and information technology policies, programs and projects in a complex systems environment including data security and data management.
  • A minimum of five years of experience establishing collaborative relationships with senior leaders across government and leading organizational change associated with implementation.
  • A minimum of five years of experience leading and management of multi-disciplinary professional staff, managing branch budgets, contract management and financial management.
  • Preference may be given to applicants with experience in management of enterprise financial systems.
  • Preference may be given to applicants with experience in the principles and practical application of information systems and financial management.
