This is the Role :

The Factory ROPEX Coach is a full time key position in the Factory and should take the lead and secure proper implementation of Operational Excellence in the Factory in alignment with the overall Operational Excellence Plan and in close co-operation with the OPCO Operational Excellence coach and factory management team.

  • Be a change agent in the factory, and lead the lean manufacturing initiative in all departments, beginning with a proactive approach to present own constructive ideas in accordance with the overall OPEX plan from the Rockwool Group
  • Plan, facilitate and train the Factory Management Team, supervisors, salaried employees, and hourly employees in lean manufacturing tools and concepts
  • Value Stream Mapping to develop a road map for continuous improvement
  • Facilitate yearly strategy and strategy deployment workshops with management
  • Oobeya Room management and coaching
  • Reports out monthly on OPEX initiatives and savings, which are reported to the Rockwool Group
  • Develops and maintains skills training matrix for various departments within the factory
  • Develops, coaches, and monitors rollout of machine boards, standard work, quick changeover, autonomous maintenance, and maintenance differentiation
  • Develop, coach, and monitors rollout of a 5S program through the factory
  • Support and coach the Factory Management Team in root cause analysis and problem solving using A3 principles
  • Support and secure that new employees are introduced to and learn about ROPEX in a proper manner, in close co-operation with the local Human Resources Manager
  • Create awareness and flag potential problems related to proper implementation of OPEX in the factory to local the local Factory Management Team, OPCO Management, and Group OPEX Team, if needed.
  • This is what you offer :

  • Engineering or business related degree
  • 5 years’ experience within companies / industries which are suitable for the role e.g. process, industrial or engineering where they have driven changes effectively
  • Proven knowledge in LEAN leadership and LEAN principles
  • Practical experience from LEAN implementations (pref. from the process industry)
  • Practical knowledge of Rockwool processes, or willing to learn
  • Well known and respected in the factory
  • Good teaching and training skills
  • Good people skills (good listener, emphatic, good Coaching skills, used to offer and receive Feedback, patience, open)
  • Flexible, change readiness
  • Willing to travel (Inside the OPCO, up to 15 travel days / year)
  • Language skills : English and the language spoken within the OPCO
