The Learning Coordinator will support the DC Institute (DCI) Team in the planning and execution of live learning events across Canada.

They will be central to delivering learning administration processes and tasks and will be an important contact and ambassador to DCI faculty, learning service partners / vendors, dentalcorp employees, and the wider audience of dental professionals in Canada.


  • Through event work back planning and project management, ensure total event readiness with all facilities, vendors, sponsors, facilitators, and DCI team using plans and checklists
  • Assist with proofreading and editing training documentation such as presentations, training manuals, handouts for participants, questionnaires and other support materials
  • Execute on training session logistics, including participant communications, venue bookings, equipment, materials and catering arrangements
  • Source event venues; complete site visits and appraisals as needed
  • Source suitable service vendors related to live events (caterers, venues, audio-visual providers, etc.)
  • Coordinate materials printing, preparation and shipment to and from locations across Canada
  • Represent DCI at live learning events as a point person to ensure smooth event operations and to support facilitator and participant needs
  • In partnership with other HR departments, represent DCI at conferences and trade shows to inform on DCI
  • Assist in set up and take-down of events
  • Administer surveys and track event attendance
  • Compile survey results and build summary reports
  • Assist in systems administration using DCI’s learning management system (LMS), virtual learning platform, and other software
  • Manipulate data to create various reports using the LMS and other data sources
  • Respond to any internal or external inquiries to DC Institute, via email or phone as required
  • Additional administrative duties as required

  • Post-secondary degree, certificate or diploma
  • Degree or diploma in HR, Adult Education or a related field considered an asset
  • Minimum two years of experience in event planning, coordination and execution
  • Minimum one year of experience in data manipulation, designing and delivering data-based reports
  • One or more year of experience including training design, development of training programs (both in class and online) considered an asset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Confident public speaker
  • Proficient in editing documents for content flow, grammar and spelling
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Software is preferred
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and results-orientated environment with fluctuating requirements
  • Proven ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Capability to give and receive feedback
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized, punctual and able to prioritize, manage and complete projects with tight deadlines
  • Availability to travel (within Canada)
  • Flexible to work some evenings and weekends for events and conferences
