What- the Role :

The new Payroll Specialist will be processing a payroll of around 250 people (Canada and US) using ADP Workforce Now. Although payroll is the core responsibility of the role, the Specialist will also have the opportunity to support general HR operations with such things as benefits administration, answering an assortment of employee questions, preparing offer letters, assisting with onboarding of new employees, managing employee data in the HRIS, etc.

The Payroll Specialist will report directly into the Head of HR and will work closely with others on the HR team as well as the Finance team and other departments.

Who- the Candidate :

  • Candidates will have at least 3 years recent and relevant payroll experience.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now is important
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is an asset
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel (including pivot tables and V lookups)
  • Solid knowledge of Canadian payroll is required (Ideally BC and Ontario); experience with US payroll (California and NY) is highly preferred, but not required for a quick and willing learner
  • Experience with multi-national, multi-entity, and multi-currency companies is highly preferred.

    Downtown Vancouver. Open-concept and modern office space.

    How Much :

    Base salary commensurate with level of experience and education- please discuss with Swim. Total compensation package includes a strong benefits package (health, dental, vision), 3 weeks vacation, and other employee perks.
