Role Summary
Responsible for creating brand-appropriate and compelling eCommerce copy for all products on the Website. Promotes our brands, consistent with target customer, meeting business objectives and user goals.
Critical functions
Responsible for all product copy. Research products, materials, style trends and other details to develop adequate background for the writing of copy.
Collaborates with eCommerce, Marketing and Merchandising teams to create compelling content that supports overall business needs by driving strong online brand identity.
Such content will be created for various communication channels, including but not limited to :
Emails
Digital marketing banners
Social media content
Works closely with multiple stakeholders to define the copywriting guidelines for Marketing team including :
Copy standards that reflect Laura and Melanie Lyne brand standards
Voice of the brand tone (do’s and don’ts)
Maintains and updates eCommerce Website policies, terms of use, researching industry practices where applicable.
Ensures timelines are met and manages process issues with teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of information.
Continually strives to understand the business needs of each project combined with effective, unique copy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Communications related discipline
Exceptional French creative writing and editing skills
Previous copywriting experience in retail or ecommerce (an asset)
Strong conceptual thinking
Ability to take direction and critique
Passionate about fashion
Ability to collaborate with a team and also work autonomously
Ability to understand / apply / maintain brand tone of voice
Ability to write in multiple voices, and work across multiple brands concurrently
Impeccable spelling / grammar
