This is an entry level position implementing behaviour, speech, and daily living programming developed and overseen by clinicians, with clients of all ages and a range of disabilities, predominantly school-aged children with ASD.

As a Behavioral Interventionist / Assistant, you need to have strong play skills, a positive attitude, and lots of energy and patience.

You are a good multitasker, are organized, encouraging, enthusiastic, and responsible. You need to be able to take constructive feedback and implement it immediately.

You will receive initial and ongoing training and development from all three disciplines (BC, SLP & OT).

Qualifications :

  • Available to work mornings, afternoons or evenings
  • Clearance from a criminal record check
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a variety of age groups
  • Enrollment in or degree from a post secondary program of Psychology, Educational Psychology, Special Education or another related field is an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder specific coursework, training or workshops an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Experience working with clients who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities will be an asset
  • Requirements :

  • Consistent availability is required
  • Having a reliable vehicle is an asset, but not required
  • Willing to travel across the city
  • A passion to work with children
  • Must provide a copy of a current Vulnerable Sector Check (from within the last 30 days)
