Description
Our government client is seeking the services of an Operations Assistant with Enhanced security clearance.
Duties
Receiving, reviewing and assessing general administrative documents, correspondence and other information received from clients and directs them to the attention and action of respective Branch members
Recording, opening and scoring (on the Operational Statistics Reporting (OSR) system) new operational and administrative files for the use of all Branch personnel, completing the required paperwork as required by Headquarters Operational Records
Establishing, implementing and monitoring the manual and electronic operating procedures, systems standards and practices of the Branch
Managing, controlling and maintaining the data banks of the Branch by reviewing and assessing existing systems to ensure that they are operating effectively and efficiently, as well as updating stored information
Delivering, retrieving, opening and processing classified and unclassified Branch mail and packages from Headquarters mail room on a daily basis
Planning, organizing and coordinating operational and administrative meetings for the Director, Immigration and Passport Branch
Preparing bi-weekly reports on financial matters such as expense claims and compensation claims
Operating, maintaining and caring for a personal computer connected to the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), Police Information Retrieval System (PIRS), LAN / ROSS, and peripherals software for the performance of duties;
maintaining the knowledge, skills and abilities to utilize various data banks and programs specific to the RCMP, as well as various software packages such as WordPerfect and FormFlow.
