JOB SUMMARY The Supervised Access Worker, under the direction of the immediate supervisor, monitors and documents visits between children and non-custodial parents or other persons as required by a Court Order.


  • Obtain information gathered during supervised access visits and prepare accurate and detailed reports.
  • Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety at various locations.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and / or external continuing education activities
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
  • Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
  • Complete other tasks as requested
  • REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Reports to Manager of Clinical Practice Other Skills and AbilitiesAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in either English or French.

  • Excellent written communication skills; exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently; strong judgment skills;
  • demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions as related to client requirements; able to travel locally from assignment to assignment.

    STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE The Supervised Access Worker must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities of this job description, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives.

    PERFORMANCE REVIEW Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review at the end of the six month probationary period and subsequently, on at least an annual basis.

    Input will be sought from employee, Supervisor, Branch Office and Field employees, and in addition, will be based on ongoing client feedback and the extent to which performance meets expectations.


    High school graduation. Post Secondary education preferred.


    Previous experience in a similar field or social work background would be an asset.
