TELUS Health is seeking Senior Technical Architect to provide technical leadership for challenging application, integration and solution development projects of medium to high complexity and team size for our customers in the healthcare industry.

You will be part of a dynamic technical team responsible for designing, building, and delivering key technical environments and components such as : servers, containers, storage, networking, voice, data centers, security, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities : Required Knowledge :

Required Knowledge :

  • Experience in installing Oracle Identity Management and / or webMethods in various environment from development to rpoduction
  • Experience in building environments and troubleshooting on Linux based OS and middlewar technologies
  • Experience of continuous integration and delivery tools (Jenkins, Git, Jfrog etc.)
  • Experience in and knowledge of Private Cloud Platforms (OpenShift, VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Confident with your knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems including current and emerging technologies
  • Workload Migration Automation Tools and Infrastructure as Code (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Spacewalk)
  • Experience with Container, Orchestration and Micro-Services with your RedHat OCP, AWS, Azure, GCP or other Cloud certification
  • Experience with Splunk, and monitoring / alerting tools like Dynatrace or any other)
  • Extensive experience with Linux, particularly RedHat / CentOS, Windows Server, SSH, DNS, system internals, network, TCP / IP
  • Strong automation experience with focus on configuration as a code and infrastructure as a code
  • Experience in technologies, principles and frameworks related to DevOps and Server-less Cloud Computing
  • Programming aptitude in one or more of the following : Scripting, Python, Java, GO, Ruby, PHP
  • Good experience in using Ansible / Chef or Puppet
  • Good experience in administering container management technology for (Openshift and / for application configuration and deployment or Kubernetes)
  • Experience maintaining middleware products, databases such as Oracle, MySQL and MS SQL
  • Experience / ability to work in hybrid environments consisting of on premise infrastructure and cloud
  • Required Skills & Abilities :

  • Experience with change management and / or deploying enterprise distributed systems in a production environment
  • Experience and understanding of networking services consisting of Virtual and Physical network functions
  • Strong bias to action with the ability to work independently to produce the required results
  • Experience supporting DevOps teams with Solution Architecture, Solutions Design and Engineering
  • Strategic thinking, problem solving and analyical skills
  • Continuous improvement mentality-challenging the status quo
  • Collaborative, learner and knowledge transfer skills are required
  • Required Professional Designation / Certification & Experience :
  • Computer science, information technology, engineering or similar post-secondary degree
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience working as an technical architect in developing and delivering infrastructure services that support an enterprise
  • Certifications from Red Hat, AWS and / or GCP are an asset
