What You’ll Do

The Sr. Manager Canada Marketing will be accountable for improving the efficiency of all our direct and indirect marketing campaigns and programs with a goal to increase awareness, accelerate pipeline and drive revenue.

You will provide leadership and hands on management to define and execute all marketing related strategies and execution activities for Canada.

This includes marketing strategy development and field execution in collaboration with members of the Canada leadership team, the Americas Marketing & Communications leadership team, and the broader global marketing community.

  • Strategic Direction using data and customer experience input to establish appropriate Field and Partner marketing initiatives to accomplish Canada sales goals, committing to both a long-range vision and plan and detailed quarterly plan.
  • People Development and Team Operating Model - leading a team through the transformation Cisco is driving from Products to Services and Recurring Revenue offerings and building future leaders capable of succession.
  • Managing and evolving the overall marketing operating model, including role clarity, interrelationships, and relationships with other organizations.

  • Partner marketing - Work to bring channel partners, channel sales for greater collaboration, including assigning Marketing Velocity Development Funds (MVF) and consulting to drive the best return on investment possible
  • Strategic Relationships - using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to influence and establish strong relationships with business partners (including : country leader and SLT, peers, customers, functional partners, external vendors, and alliance partners)
  • Customer / External Orientation - encouraging strategic customer, vendor and association relationships to ensure the customer, partner and industry perspective is the driving force behind our plans and execution.

    The team works with customers, partners and internal stakeholders in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to drive marketing strategies that help customers achieve business outcomes and grow Cisco’s Canada business.

    You have an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic and agile team that is undergoing a full evolution of its practices and skills to become more coordinated and automated using a digital / omni channel approach where practical, so our marketing becomes more personalized and effective.

    You will be a strategic partner to the Canada Country Leader, the leadership team, and to your counterparts across Americas Marketing & Communications.

    To use the latest tech and practices, you will establish relationships across the distributed team to apply all Global Marketing & Communications has to offer.

    You will partner closely with Sales leaders and Strategy / Planning / Operations to integrate digital seller activities with marketing, to create effective motions for Cisco and Partner sellers.

    Minimum qualifications for this role :

  • 10+ years of B2B Marketing and Sales leadership experience, preferably in tech
  • Proven track record of accomplishment in creating and leading sustainable high-performance teams.
  • Significant experience in marketing through multiple go-to-market channels including resellers, systems integrators and distributors.
  • Preferably career success in large global brands.
