Lead a small team of Engineering Designers and co-operative students through the development and integration of installation design packages with a focus on the specification of welding and non-destructive examination requirements.

Develop your knowledge of joint design, and welding definition / applicationBe responsible for the development of 3D CAD models in support of spatial integration for installation design.

Be responsible for the development of drawing packages and installation specifications i.a.w contracted standards and internal quality requirements.

Develop solutions to technical problemsEnsure consistent on-target delivery of work products.Work collaboratively with the Mechanical and Electrical disciplines within the Marine Design and Drawing Office to develop cohesive specificationsConduct onsite inspections / surveys as necessary.

Maintain project documents as applicable.Other duties as necessary.As our ideal candidate,You hold a minimum of a College Technologist Diploma in a relevant field and are eligible to be certified as a AScT by ASTTCBYou have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in design and drawing (Welding knowledge considered an asset)You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a team.

Possess the aptitude to quickly and efficiently learn new tools, process and procedures.You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
