We’re looking for an experienced manager in digital product to join the Rogers Digital Team.

The Manager of Digital Product (Self Serve) will be leading the planning and execution of program priorities with the product teams.

You will participate the end to end Digital Product Management process, managing the product backlog, innovation exercises, data mining, budgeting, prioritizing, and working with the Scrum Master and Technology Managers overseeing development phases.

Strong candidates will be able to balance their own expertise and experience with the inputs from all these groups, always keeping top of mind : customer experience, business objectives, and execution excellence.

This product manager is an empowered decision maker who will collaborate with a cross-functional team and have a thinking outside the box mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate with and often lead an agile squad by partnering with members from the greater team in technology, content, design and analytics and more
  • Develop a product roadmap and plan, with the support from management and peers; based on business objectives, insights, data, and facts grounded through the customer lens.
  • Write user stories and technical requirements to meet the needs of the product needs and roadmap
  • Develop and implement experiences that simplify and improve the customer experience and align with our core design principles
  • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting discussions with internal and external partners
  • Be competent about the technical aspects of your product, and be able to work with the technical resource to deal with technicalities of the development process.
  • Partner with other team members to create synergies across all lines of business
  • Investigate complex problems and make sense of the information and data at your disposal or think of new ways to acquire it.

  • Create presentation materials and be comfortable to present to Senior Leadership Team
  • Track and report Business and Technical KPIs
  • Manage product performance, develop and report Business and Technical KPIs.
  • Budgeting and forecasting for project and agile planning
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5+ years relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in Agile development
  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystems and customer experience design
  • Experience understanding and improving large, complex systems or processes, with outputs and recommendations
  • Highly motivated individual with a naturally inquisitive nature and strong leadership
  • Thrives in an environment of constant change and innovation
  • Ability to identify critical issues and simplify complex issues
  • Technical solution savviness that will support and enhance business outcomes
  • Being able to meet tight deadlines and perform well in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Highly motivated individual with a naturally inquisitive nature.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a large volume of tasks at once.
  • Strong communicator (written and oral), self-manager who can self-pace and organize a complex situation.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Holds self-accountable for achieving established performance objectives.
  • Highly organized individual who teach others new / efficient methods of organizing work tasks and overcoming time constraints.
  • Experienced with analytics tools (Adobe, Qualtrics, Tableau, Domo) and Agile softwares (Jira, Confluence).
  • Skilled in MS Office products such as Excel and Powerpoint
  • Education in computer science and / or a technical business background is an asset
