Your role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic supply management, the Senior Analyst provides procurement systems users and processes the support for systems management, configuration, and training to effectively maintain CBC’s sourcing, contract, and procurement platforms.

He participates or leads process review and reengineering activities including documenting the processes and procedures.

This role administers the system various activities such as hands-on maintenance of system master data and configuration.

The position supports the Strategic Sourcing process with analytical and supplier needs analysis for assigned categories to reduce cost for CBC.

Key tasks :

  • Provide application administration, which includes supplier and user adoption, workflow configuration and training coordination (both to current and new users) during the implementation period.
  • Develop and deliver regular and ad hoc procurement reports for management and other interested parties.
  • Provide analysis with deep contextual understanding as well as practical information, ready to be acted upon, for decision-making and / or communications purposes.
  • Maintain procurement databases, including needs specifications, product pricing and supplier information.
  • Deliver ongoing support for implementation and development of CBC / Radio-Canada’s Source-to-Procure (S2P) application as well as other procurement and sourcing platforms.
  • Conduct market research to find innovative procurement solutions.
  • Track spending and savings, including continuous improvement programs and supplier performance measurements.
  • Prepare studies and develop proposals and recommendations for improvements to supply management processes, as required, and make presentations to management.
  • Help evaluate new features by performing predefined test scenarios or other related work.
  • Use reports to provide key performance indicator (KPI) metrics and other reporting as needed by the business.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and play an active role in driving efficiency.
  • Maintain constant communication with the sourcing and business teams to optimize their respective work.
  • Be able to manage priorities independently and ensure effective, ongoing communication within your team and among stakeholders.
  • Qualifications

    We are looking for a candidate with the following :

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain, Finance or an IT discipline.
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience within a procurement, specifically using an enterprise procurement system applications as Ariba, SAP, SciQuest, Coupa.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing, accounts payable and receiving processes.
  • Knowledge of public procurement, best practices and general interdependencies in finance and business.
  • Good understanding of the strategic sourcing process and techniques required to identify and collect supporting research.
  • Open-minded, innovative and self-confident in the face of resistance.
  • Must be service and detail oriented.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Good knowledge of foundational software (Microsoft Office, Google etc.).
  • Superior organization, problem solving and information technology skills.
  • Ability to effectively convey and receive information with different audiences.
  • Delivering High Quality Work.
  • Fluent bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written).
  • Familiarity with Crown corporations and government agencies is an asset.
