    Strategy & Planning

  • Accountable for business leadership & the delivery of the Annual Business Plan for the Canadian BusinessPush for continuous improvements across all direct and supporting businesses and functionsUse skills to work & influence cross functionally for betterment of the Consumer business
  • Involvement in developing 1-3-year Canada business plan to ensure sustained profitable growth performance & clarity of direction & objectives for each function (Marketing, Supply, Sales, Operations, Finance, Category)
  • Involvement in developing the Canadian Annual Business Plan / Customer Business Plan to achieve financial budgets
  • Identify, develop & foster strategic relationships that complement the activities of KCNA & add value to the overall KCNA business
  • Ensures collaborative planning with the Huntsville Canadian tissue manufacturing and planning teams to maximize production and distribution efficiencies, as well as with Kimberly-Clark Professional leadership to fully capitalize on marketplace opportunities with customers that have consumer and B2B portfolios
  • Active member of the KCNA Executive Leadership Team, contributing thought to both US & Canadian markets to increase sales & profit
  • Ensure application of established corporate financial & internal controls by providing direction & support to the implementation & maintenance of policies, instructions, & internal control procedures

  • Communicate our KC vision, OSGM & Action Plan for the Canadian Consumer function that creates engaged employees across all functions
  • Develop & drive a high performing team through effective use of coaching, open feedback & Performance Management process
  • Ensure objectives & focused development plans are in place for each individual & weekly to monthly one on ones are conducted
  • Develop strong internal & external relationships with a focus on continuous improvement, innovative outcomes & business performance
  • Communicate fully with ELT, Canada Leadership team, Direct Reports & others as required. Be informative, timely, concise, authentic, candid, & clear.

  • Lead & facilitate the effective & efficient management of all activities & resources within the scope of the Canada consumer business including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Category.
  • Development of plans to achieve long term business and sector targets including branding, positioning, customer management.
  • Create an innovative marketing culture that drives product development opportunities to capitalize on the local market needs.
  • Ensure new launches have a good fit with the local market consumer needs, are executed efficiently and rigorously analyzed.
  • Ensure the development & marketing of products that meet customers' performance requirements & are consistent with Kimberly-Clark Corporation brand frameworks.
  • Review marketing, sales & supply chain requirements to ensure resources are efficiently utilized & to deliver against the Canadian business and KCNA priorities.
  • Provide monthly financial reporting, monthly forecasts & estimated YE annual forecasts & explain main factors influencing variances in NS, OP & Market Share.
  • Optimize relationships with key customers to enable mutually beneficial affiliation & to optimize new market & category opportunities.
  • Establish relationships with and meet regularly with senior management of major customers to review plans for building the volume and profitability of our brands in their stores.

  • Drive strategy, direction, and decision making as part of Global Account Management team
  • Oversee the development of product positioning, packaging & pricing strategies to produce the highest possible long-term market share

  • Significant experience at a senior level in Sales, Finance & / or Marketing role for a Fortune 500 company or major division of a consumer goods company
  • Experienced in working with major retailers and brand agencies, with a strong network of contacts and proven relationship management skills.
  • Understands the shifting dynamics in the retail landscape and can adapt can shape the direction of the organization
  • A growth & profit orientation with ability to assess risk
  • Highly skilled in utilizing all the operational and commercial performance levers, such as Portfolio Optimization, Revenue Transformation, Customer Strategy, Ecommerce, and Organizational Design
  • Superior strategy development & execution / implementation skills
  • Ability to analyze markets, think independently and innovatively, and communicate a vision
  • Strong natural leadership skills & be able to inspire, manage, develop & motivate a leadership team to achieve challenging goals
