Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities


Preferred Qualification and Experience

  • 4 5 years’ branch banking experience, with exposure to frontline and customer service.
  • Knowledge / Technical Skills / Expertise

  • Good knowledge of banking practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of compliance management processes
  • Understanding of the CONNECT (employee engagement) methodology
  • Comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures relating to the enquiries function.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the retail banking products and services offered by the branch, as well as the procedures underpinning these.
  • Thorough grasp of customer care principles.
  • Knowledge of the New Delivery System (NDS) and on-line enquiries relating to own function.
  • Basic knowledge of products offered by other Standard Bank Group Companies.
  • Basic knowledge of functions / activities of other branch departments and support entities.
  • Knowledge of the Code of Banking Practice.
  • Understanding of service and sales initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act.
  • Understanding and support of the bank’s multi-channel environment.
