As Director of Operations in this crucial regional leadership role within CBI Home Health, a division of CBI Health Group, you’ll be accountable for creating an environment in our Hamilton, Simcoe, and St.

As Director of Operations Hamilton, you will :
Create an environment that aligns with CBI’s purpose and values, drawing and retaining high-performing talent that naturally lives the values of the organization
Lead regional engagement initiatives that include executing on action plans derived from Engagement Survey results, Town Halls, Advisory Committees
Lead by example, coaching, mentoring and supporting the growth and development of leaders and future leaders within the region, and ensuring career paths and leadership development are tangible and attainable for high performers
Actively map succession plans for all leadership roles within the region, ensuring ongoing development to continuously grow our leadership capacity
Ensure all team members understand their key accountabilities and perform to the expected level
Oversee and facilitate performance management
Ensure resources are aligned with the organizational structure and meet business needs
Foster and deepen relationships with existing business partners and stakeholders to increase volume with existing services and to identify gaps that create new service delivery opportunities
Actively seek out new opportunities and business partners to build relationships and grow the business, e.g., potential acquisitions, new funders, new referral sources, strategic partners
Showcase and market CBI Health Group Services (the integrated network) to current and potential funders
Maintain a solid understanding of stakeholder priorities, strategic direction, and gaps in service provision to ensure the Region is well positioned to create and execute on innovative solutions to stakeholder challenges
Work closely with other CBI Health Group business streams to leverage opportunities to integrate services and provide innovative continuums of care
Proactively liaise with other business partners in Operations, People and Culture, IT, Marketing, Finance, Quality and Risk
Share best practices and participate in provincial or national collaborative initiatives
Actively delegate and provide feedback to meet regional objectives
Ensure monthly financial and KPI reports and results for the Region and independent business units are analyzed and submitted
Deploy mechanisms to promote and demonstrate accountability and related action planning
Ensure appropriate resources are available and allocated effectively
Provide timely, accurate forecasting
Ensure systems and structures are executed to achieve financial outcomes per plan
Ensure service delivery models are effective and efficient, accessing other resources in the
network to problem-solve and develop as required
Ensure clinical performance indicators in the Region are tracking to, or exceeding, expectations
Monitor local risk management activities
Ensure compliance with contractual and partnership agreements and performance.
To take on the role of Director of Operations for Hamilton, you must :
Hold an undergraduate degree in Health, Business or Health Administration, with postgraduate education such as an MBA or advanced university / executive training being preferred
Bring 10 to 15 years’ experience in a general management role in a service-focused organization, ideally with experience in a senior management role
Demonstrate the ability to lead teams and individuals to achieve results
Be experienced in clinical program and financial management
Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work as part of a team in a multi-tasking environment
Preferably, have strong knowledge of the health care service system, LHINs and health care management in home and community care
Combine a demonstrated patient-centred focus with a commitment to providing quality care.
