Job Description

  • Responsible for leading, coaching and motivating a team of pharmaceutical sales representatives; driving regional sales performance of assigned brands;
  • developing local customer focused business plans; and building and maintaining relationships with key customers.Your responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Provide leadership, high level coaching on all Novartis systems, and clear direction to assigned sales team to ensure all job requirements are met in this area
  • Responsible for the achievement of assigned sales objectives and other metrics identified (example : growth, market share)
  • Ensure development & successful implementation of solid business plans
  • Provide strategic and tactical input into the development of marketing plans and programs
  • Provide high level of coaching and ensure sales team is adequately trained on Novartis policies & procedures in terms of product and disease knowledge as well as selling skills
  • Ensure appropriate business staffing, strong development and talent pipeline as per Novartis Sales staffing strategy.
  • Minimum requirements

    What you’ll bring to the role : University degree, health sciences or business administration, preferable.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (ideally in Cardiology) with at least 3 years as a Sales Representative and 3+ years in Sales Management or Marketing.
  • Superior strategic, business planning, analytical and inter-personal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a group towards meeting and exceeding objectives.
  • Strong planning and organization, problem solving and decision making skills as well as negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Results-driven and customer focused.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Adaptability and strong advocate of change.
  • Strong cross-functional exposure, and ability to collaborate effectively with various groups.
  • Ability to manage and deliver on an operating budget and finance acumen
  • Prior KAM, Field reimbursement, Sales training, Brand Management, Patient Support Program experience an asset.
  • Willingness to travel.
