The Role

Reporting to the President and CEO of Anderson DDB, the Human Resources Manager is key member of our senior leadership team.

You would be responsible for all areas of Talent Management and Human Resources for our offices in Toronto & Montreal, along with providing support to other divisions of DDB Group Canada as required.

Responsibilities

  • This role will be incredibly dynamic, and will encompass at least the following responsibilities;
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment and Talent Acquisition activities, including;Working with hiring managers on their needsWriting / Updating job descriptions and posting job adsWorking with third-
  • party recruiters, as requiredReviewing applications, screening candidates, scheduling & conducting interviewsWriting job offers and closing contracts

  • Completing all IT On-boarding & Information Change requests for employees
  • Employee Relations, Investigations & Enforcement of Policy
  • Development of policy
  • Liaise with the Payroll Department and act as an HR Administrator for our HRIS, including;New Hire Set-upsTerminationsSalary RevisionsAdjustments
  • Work closely with the Director of Finance, particularly with regards to Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our benefit programs such as Health & Dental, STD / LTD, RRSP / RPP program, etc.This includes supporting the Benefits Administrator by acting as the Branch Administrator
  • Championing on-boarding and arranging departmental training for all new hires
  • Acting as a member of the Training committee and supporting the development of our new Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Liaise with DDB NY human resources
  • Working with DDB NY & Omnicom Group on special projects & initiatives
  • Responsible for maintaining personnel files and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley audit requirements
  • Performance review coordination and tracking
  • Advises on training options and aides in training coordination
  • Tracking employee vacations, sick days, and personal days
  • Gym membership coordination (corporate subsidy)
  • Handles internal communication on personnel policy

  • Keeping up to date on developments in relevant legislation
  • Qualifications

  • Post secondary degree / diploma in Human Resources Management
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination
  • Comprehensive computer literacy on Microsoft Office & Adobe Acrobat
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time, project and multiple priority management
  • Investigative, resourceful and solutions driven
  • Strong communication skills with excellent listening abilities
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • A pro-active team player with an exceptional ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
  • CHRP / CHRL, an asset
  • Agency experience, an asset
