Role Summary :
The Category & Insights Lead will serve as a strategic partner to key internal and external stakeholders and customers. He / she will lead the development and implementation of category initiatives that serve to meet or exceed Hershey and Customer financial and strategic objectives.
The Category & Insights Lead will be an expert in the pervasive application of insights within their area of expertise to fuel Category growth and will influence the development and implementation of Insights Driven Performance (IDP) capabilities.
He / she will proactively identify opportunities, through analysis of data, insights and trends (including business, competitive, shopper and Market trends), and develop and activate solutions to drive category and Hershey growth across retail outlets.
The Category & Insights Lead will influence and support the Customers’, and Hershey’s, annual and long-term strategic planning process.
In addition, this role is heavily connected with cross-functional departments and will work closely with Sales, Customer Planning, Go 2 Market, Information Services, and the Global Knowledge & Insights group.
The Category & Insights Lead will be responsible for supporting Customers within their area of expertise, across Canada.
He / she will have 2-3 direct reports with the added responsibility of coaching and developing top talent within the Hershey organization.

Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Science fields); MBA desirable
Experience : This position requires previous Category Management and / or CPG Sales experience (approximately 5-7 years), advanced analytical skills, advanced understanding of consumer shopper behavior and market research strategies, knowledge of consumer sales industry trends and complete working knowledge of the category management process.
