We are a team of Supply Operations experts with the responsibility to provide materials and services to enable the construction of the Wireline and Wireless network infrastructure from coast to coast.

We are constantly looking to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our business processes to deliver better outcomes for our internal stakeholders and external customers.

We get to work with the latest and greatest technologies such as fiber optic Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Networks (GPON) & 4G / 5G small cells.

You are a passionate and experienced business consultant with extensive Procurement, Purchasing and Sourcing experience.

You are able to formulate supplier consolidation strategies and then implement them successfully and with lasting effect to bottom line business performance.

You can demonstrate a proven capability to engage key stakeholders and work across different business units leveraging the most appropriate collaboration tools to support virtual team working.

You will partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive key strategic initiatives to ensure TELUS is #1 in customer service.

Here's how...

  • Develop material and service supplier consolidation strategies in collaboration with key Procurement and stakeholder teams
  • Implement supplier consolidation strategies using appropriate process, change management, project management and systems methodologies and tools
  • Identify risks associated with single supplier sourced vital materials then develop and implement mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with the Procurement teams to negotiate purchasing agreements with suppliers to reduce cost and improve quality
  • Influence the identification of Preferred Suppliers and promote their use across key stakeholder teams
  • Qualifications

  • Recognized for formulating and successfully implementing Supplier consolidation strategies
  • 8+ years’ progressive experience in Supply Chain and / or Procurement, preferably within the telecommunications industry
  • Confident in engaging a broad set of stakeholders and collaborating with all levels of the leadership team
  • Demonstrated experience in leading Supplier negotiations
  • Acknowledged for strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Known for expertise with Microsoft (MS) Excel & PowerPoint
  • Bachelor degree in a related discipline
  • Great-to-haves...

  • Master of Business Adminstration (MBA) degree
  • Supply Chain certification such as Supply Chain certifications such as American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS) -
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)

  • Contract law and ability to draft legal agreements
  • SAP Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience
  • Bilingualism in English & French
