Brief Description

Cogeco Peer 1 is seeking an exceptional and experienced Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of their Cloud portfolio.

As part of the global team, the Product Manager is responsible for managing the full range of Cloud solutions that are central to Cogeco Peer 1’s differentiation in the market.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone who can bring combined technical and business acumen to define and orchestrate our Cloud Portfolio.

You will manage the complete lifecycle of the product line including market analysis, and P&L responsibilities for your line of business.

You will do this as part of a global Product Management team working very closely with a highly talented team of Product Managers, Product Owners, Marketing Managers, Architects and Engineers.

As a Product Manager you will be responsible for researching and defining the product roadmap, creating the product vision and strategy.

Through continual evaluation and development of the product portfolio, you will have the opportunity to be in line with customer feedback and market intelligence that will deliver disruptive value propositions with true business outcomes.

This is a hands-on role in which you will be expected to work alongside sales, technical and stakeholders alike including senior executives, to ensure the growth and success of the Managed Services Portfolio.

The role will be based out of either our Atlanta, Toronto, or London (Southampton, England) location.

In a typical day, you will :

  • Help define the product vision and strategy for our Cloud Portfolio, and present them to executives, internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Work with Stakeholders to define the scope of a world class Hybrid Cloud offering (Public and Private Clouds).
  • Apply your knowledge of building blocks like AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, OS, VMWare, SaaS, PaaS, DRaaS, licensing, monitoring etc.
  • Oversee, support, and champion initiatives across functional teams to translate product and service delivery strategies into successful business models by utilizing expert thought leadership, agile delivery, and change management skills through effective collaboration and influence.
  • Use analysis of target market trends to enhance or distinguish product placement as well as maintain product requirements within the competitive arena.
  • Develop and present compelling business cases and product positioning in the marketplace.
  • Define pricing strategies, product features as well as all service and support aspects of the overall Cloud Portfolio.
  • Ability to work closely and effectively in a cross functional team, to prioritize requirements for a strong product offering in the market.
  • Own global product roadmap and success metrics of Cloud Portfolio.
  • Manage cross functional collaboration with product marketing, support, data center services, sales and sales engineering to help define and shape the go-
  • to-market strategy for your products.

  • Own product lifecycle and have a point of view on change management in all aspects of new product introduction and sustaining efforts.
  • Identify and maintain relationships with product partners, third party vendors.
  • Evangelize our current solutions internally and externally via blogs, conferences and customer meet-ups as well as requirements gathering.
  • Role requires the following :

  • Deep understanding of the IT market.
  • Experience within a Product Management role.
  • Strong technical competence and business acumen to ensure credibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take complex technical concepts and communicate them simply and effectively to a non-technical audience.
  • Desire to expand knowledge of sales, marketing and general business management.
  • Ability to develop good relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas. Strong customer facing capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work both independently and on cross functional teams.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Excellent P&L management skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3-7 years experienced in Product Management or related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in in Business or Technology required, MBA strongly desired.
  • Pronounced communication skillset to drive technical team as well as executive level conversations on assigned projects.
  • Hosting, Cloud, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS product experience desired.
