Fire Suppression is currently looking for skilled, proactive, and motivated individuals in West Island. We want someone to play an integral role in our team by becoming our newest Sprinkler Inspector. The sprinkler inspector is responsible for performing the inspections in accordance with the standards in force and must therefore know these standards while remaining on the lookout and ensure a good relationship with our customers.

The successful candidate will be required to:
  • Perform a complete visual check of the building
  • Check adjustment pressures and mechanics of sprinkler systems and fire pump
  • Make sure that all switches and the general mechanical functioning of the fire protection system of the underwater, air, fm-200, pre-action and backflow systems are working properly. 
  • Drain the low points and low parts
  • Replace or repair defective parts if necessary
  • Validate system functionality at the end of the inspection
  • Ensure building meets installation and inspection standards (NBC, NFPA, and others)
  • Write audit reports
  • Maintain truck inventory and order equipment as needed 
  • Requirements and skills sought

    DEP fire protection mechanic with two years of experience OR 4 years of relevant experience

    Very good knowledge of different switches and accessories related to sprinkler systems

    Good knowledge of NFPA 13, 20, 25

    Knowledge of different fire alarm panels

    Electrical basics

    Good knowledge of French

    Functional English

    Possess a class 5 driver's license.

    ASSET: knowledge of special systems (foam, hybrid, gas, Vesda, D.A.R., etc.)

    Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook)

    Be available for day work (for evening and night)

    Full time position

    Social benefits after 3 months Cellular provided

    Salary from $25.00 to $32.00 per hour depending on experience.
