Job Description

The Key Account Manager will manage Key Accounts for the Canadian Hospital Division with a large portfolio of generic, branded and biosimilar medicines.

He / she will develop relationships with group purchasing organizations, cancer agencies, hospitals and other stakeholders and be ultimately responsible to achieve sales targets, manage and develop customer base, control expenses and contribute to overall profitability.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain successful relationships with key stakeholders in Ontario and Western Canada
  • Represent Teva at conferences and other industry related events
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Teva policies and procedures
  • Contracting & Product Management

  • Perform integral role in RFP responses for entire portfolio
  • Optimize contract compliance and off contract sales opportunities
  • Manage and mitigate contract penalty exposure
  • Maintain product and treatment knowledge within main therapeutic areas
  • Sales & Budgeting

  • Track and achieve annual sales budget
  • Gain listings for new product launches
  • Manage and adhere to expense budget limits
  • Provide detailed input to annual operating plan
  • Product Supply

  • Liaise with supply chain and demand planning to monitor effects on contracts
  • Communicate allocations to customers and stakeholders
  • Actively participate in regular supply and demand review meetings
  • Qualifications

  • Required : Undergraduate degree in Science or Business
  • Required : 5+ years in pharmaceutical commercial area; 2+ years within hospital sales or RFP environment preferred
  • General understanding of disease and treatment regimens within main therapeutic areas
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • High degree of competency with financial analyses and modelling
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven experience with key account management in pharmaceuticals / healthcare sector
  • Other pharmaceutical industry experience : RFP process, GPOs and hospital stakeholders, Biologics / Biosimilars, Oncology
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel
  • French language proficiency would be an asset
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
