As a Level 5 Senior Technical Advisor you will provide technical leadership and develop strategic recommendations for corporate, pricing or research and development initiatives.
You will offer modeling and technical expertise and provide technical coaching to support your peers, in order to deliver unique solutions to ensure the profitability of property and casualty (P&C) lines of business.
What you’re responsible for :
Leading the development of Actuarial models for rate change and pricing projects and completing reserve and Dynamic Capital Adequacy Testing (DCAT) analysis.
Coaching and mentoring team members to facilitate their development and performing peer reviews of various analytics projects.
Staying abreast of emerging industry trends and providing subject matter expertise on technical and actuarial concepts and practices.
Supporting the development of strategic business plans and innovative solutions, and clearly communicating advanced actuarial concepts and project deliverables to peers and key stakeholders.
Upholding professional ethics, values, procedures and policies that support organizational and professional standards.

You have seven years of experience in the property and casualty actuarial field, with broad modelling skills.
You have a post-secondary degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science.
You have the Associate (ACAS) or Fellow (FCAS) designation.
You have advanced knowledge of SAS, SQL, modeling softwares and predictive modelling processes.
You have expert knowledge of P&C insurance products, emerging trends and best practices in the actuarial landscape.
