We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Health & Safety Analyst reporting to the Vice President, Health & Safety and Continuous Improvement.

The successful candidate is a creative individual who will contribute to our mission of Everyone Goes Home Safe by leveraging the strength of the existing health and safety management operating system (Intelex) consistently across multiple divisions.

You will work with each of our divisions to expand their adoption of technology to drive consistent outcomes in safety. In addition, you will work with safety leaders to integrate data into visual analytical dashboards identifying trends and providing insights.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Effective, efficient and consistent utilization of the Safety Operating System (Intelex) and the Learning Management System
  • Ensure that all applicable system features and functionality are being used effectively, including the adoption of mobile apps
  • Develop deep understanding of data elements and work with visual and analytics tools to produce insight from operational system data
  • Work with safety teams on complete analytics project cycle : framing problem, identifying sources of data, selecting methodology for solution, modeling, and deploying solution
  • Understand key metrics and build dashboards to enable efficient and effective management, support decision making and identification of trends
  • Day-to-day monitoring and reporting on data quality and usage
  • Ensure the user community keeps pace with business system releases, including communication, leading change, and training materials
  • Support and participate in Continuous Improvement projects
  • Analysis presentation to internal and external parties
  • Qualifications :

  • Post-Secondary University Degree (Business, Engineering, or Sciences - with a concentration in mathematics and statistics preferred)
  • Three years of analytical and technology experience
  • High degree of curiosity coupled with high attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong organizational skills and a strong sense of urgency
  • Familiarity with Alteryx, Tableau and understanding of data management are assets
  • Exposure to office and industrial health and safety processes is an asset
