The Assistant Manager, Vendor Management is a part of the Vendor Management - Information Services Business Management organization and is responsible for negotiating the cost-

effective acquisition of enterprise-wide Technology products and services, while defining and upholding business and legal contracting standards.

Vendor Management plays a key role in creating, leveraging and realizing scale economies, in addition to maximizing all synergy opportunities

What you’ll do :

  • Oversee the procurement process and negotiation of any Technology procurement / legal matters
  • Provide relationship management with suppliers, across all lines of business and all locations
  • Manage relationships with corporate Purchasing and Legal functions
  • Provide governance to ensure the enterprise’s best interests are protected and minimize long-term risks
  • Consult for all interactions with suppliers
  • Who you are :

  • Minimum 3+ years in a Technology role
  • Degree in related discipline (Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, etc.
  • or equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Excellent Technology contract negotiator
  • Proven experience leading a team and driving for results
  • Effective at planning and organizing with the ability to manage and prioritize competing projects, adapt to change, and perform effectively under time pressure without compromising quality
  • Track record of identifying potential risks and implementing action plans to mitigate theses risks
  • Strong relationship management, partnering and collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • A customer centric approach to problem solving with the ability to collaborate, resolve conflicts, and reach consensus with others
  • Excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and has the ability to translate complex technical subject matter in business terms for executive audiences, succinctly and professionally
  • Exceptional in facilitating change management and driving results
  • Fosters and provides visible key leadership across the organization

  • Work experience negotiating contracts with major Technology suppliers
  • Work experience with a technology supplier
  • Work experience managing supplier service delivery in an IT environment
  • Procurement experience (responding to requests for proposals or bids; or in creation of request for proposals to solicit bids)
