    What You Would Do in This Role

    Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accountant will contribute in all areas of a successful full-cycle accounting operation.

    This is a 13 month Maternity Leave coverage position. Duties will include :

  • Filing, organizing and updating documents
  • Performing data entry
  • Processing a moderate volume of payables and receivables for multiple cost center
  • Creating and processing client invoices
  • Processing payroll and maintaining personnel records
  • Completing cheque runs
  • Processing receipt / payments and making bank deposits
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Month-end tasks
  • Support financial reporting and year-end audit
  • Reconciling accounts and maintaining supporting files
  • Analyzing expenditures and preparing working papers
  • Using Quickbooks software and other proprietary software as required
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required
  • Checking the work of, and assisting in the training of, less experienced accounting personnel
  • Providing support to internal stakeholders
  • Performing other duties as requested
  • Requirement

  • University degree or college diploma
  • At least one year of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Strong computer processing skills; competency with MS Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Focus on quality and acute attention to detail
  • Preferred

  • CPA, CMA, CA, or CGA, or enrollment in the program
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and / or working SQL query knowledge
