  • Leading the Conversations for Citizenship conversation circle;
  • Working with materials provided, present themes and conversation starting questions to participants;
  • Establish and maintain rapport with students;
  • Login to Apply

  • Ensure groups are engaged and offer assistance where required;
  • Assist in the preparation of each session;
  • Attend team and DIVERSEcity all staff meetings;
  • Adhere to all Policies and Procedures and Personnel Policies, Procedures and Practices of the Society.
  • TESL certification from a training institute recognized by TESL Canada or designate an asset;
  • Adult ESL, ELSA or LINC volunteer or teaching experience;
  • Strong interpersonal and English communication skills, written and oral;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong ability to take initiative and problem solve;
  • Knowledge of multicultural and settlement issues, especially as they pertain to immigrants and refugees;
  • Knowledge of the sector an asset.
  • This position requires union membership. A Criminal Record Check is a requirement of employment.
