Working with materials provided, present themes and conversation starting questions to participants;
Establish and maintain rapport with students;

Ensure groups are engaged and offer assistance where required;
Assist in the preparation of each session;
Attend team and DIVERSEcity all staff meetings;
Adhere to all Policies and Procedures and Personnel Policies, Procedures and Practices of the Society.
TESL certification from a training institute recognized by TESL Canada or designate an asset;
Adult ESL, ELSA or LINC volunteer or teaching experience;
Strong interpersonal and English communication skills, written and oral;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Strong ability to take initiative and problem solve;
Knowledge of multicultural and settlement issues, especially as they pertain to immigrants and refugees;
Knowledge of the sector an asset.
