Here’s the type of person we’re looking for :
Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Shop Host is a brand ambassador and a key role within our organization. The Shop Host is exceptional at interacting with guests while assessing them for signs of intoxication and checking their identification.
As a first point of contact for guests, you understand what it means to be a brand ambassador, assisting in creating intentional customer experiences and creating community by developing authentic relationships with our customers.
Recognizing that we operate in a highly regulated industry, the Shop Host brings immense value to our retail locations, by protecting our ability to continue doing business.
Assist in ensuring regulatory compliance at store level
Greet guests as they enter the store, checking identification and assessing intoxication
Tactfully refuse entry or service to guests who cannot produce identification or appear intoxicated
Participate in workplace health, safety and environment initiatives
Lead by example and deliver exceptional, intentional customer service
Support your teammates understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape
Assist in asset protection and loss prevention initiatives
Ensure the store meets and adheres to all compliance training and operational standards and procedures (education, security, checklists etc.)
Assist the management team in interacting with regulatory inspectors, and reporting on their activities
Encourage and educate on pharmacovigilance
Demonstrate strong time management and organization skills to keep priorities in focus
Be detail oriented, taking notes and reporting accurately on events which occur in the store
Assist in weekly audits of the stores camera system to ensure regulatory compliance
Assist team members in deescalating difficult situations
Assist in enforcing all company policies and programs, ensuring compliance
Recommend solutions and address opportunities for improvement in all areas of compliance, health and safety
Complete tasks as assigned by the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager
Other duties as assigned
Minimum 1-3 years customer service experience, retail is preferred
Be at least 19 years of age
Able to lift boxes 5-30 lbs
Must be comfortable working evenings and weekends
Proven ability to drive positive customer experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
You are interested in compliance and driven to ensure our stores operate within legislative requirements
You are open to feedback and coaching
You demonstrate high levels of integrity and personal responsibility
You are trustworthy and customer-oriented
Bonus points if you’ve worked in a regulated environment before
Preference may be given to candidates with first aid training
