We are currently in search of a career orientated person to join our team at our Lethbridge location. This position handles Business Development & Sales in the Heating department, with some work in the Plumbing department as well.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for Business Development & Sales in the Heating & Plumbing departments including quotes, quote follow up and after sale service.

Your major focus will be on growing our business by calling on and servicing an existing account base as well as developing new accounts in the heating & plumbing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Close working relationship with the Outside Sales Team.
  • Co-ordination of Projects / Jobs / Accounts.
  • Build and Manage relationships with our Customers & Vendors
  • Ensure resource Availability & Allocation
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
  • Properly following procedures on quoting, and other common practices
  • Follow-up on quotations (where needed) and review quotes for errors or missed items
  • Prepare and provide quotes for new and existing customers and contractors
  • Work closely with Counter / Inside Sales / Warehouse Teams (Team Player & Team Mentality
  • Communicate project details, obtain and review material quotes from suppliers
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions. Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
  • Co-ordinate with customers construction schedules and deliveries in a timely manner
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Liaise between supplier reps and customers for all inquiries, lead and delivery times, to meet deadlines
  • Provide clarification on engineering specifications sheets, fixture schedules and addendums
  • Co-ordinate with other departments, particularly Plumbing and Electrical, for Business opportunities
  • Maintain both physical and electronic versions of project documents
  • Updating Quotations Team on project Wins & Losses
  • Accurately process Customer Transactions such as Orders, Quotes or Returns
  • Stay current with up-to-date Product Knowledge
  • Identify Trends in Customer Satisfaction or Dissatisfaction.
  • Create PDF files of Specification Sheets, that are job specific for project submittals
  • Closely Manage & Update Delivery Dates / Release Dates
  • Create & Manage Customer Job Listings (Job Name, Address’, Job Foreman, etc)
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Qualifications & Education :

  • Minimum grade 12 education
  • Candidates should possess a minimum of two years’ sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or Account Manager)
  • Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing / Heating preferred
  • Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, plumbing contractors and the public
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the plumbing industry or a background in plumbing products would be considered an asset
