CLIENT OVERVIEW :

This role will be contributing to the expansion of one of the biggest tourist board globally : Destination Canada.

Destination Canada markets Canada internationally and is owned by the Government of Canada.

Its mission is to grow Canada’s tourism export revenues and support its industry partners. Destination

Canada uses data-driven marketing strategies to stimulate international demand and tourism export revenue for Canada in 11 countries : Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, the UK and the USA.

The role focuses on Destination Canada’s UK activity but will require close collaboration with the International Team based in London and the Global team based in Canada.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The role of a Content Manager -Partnerships is to facilitate, track and optimize content led projects and to ensure they connect with strategy, insight and the wider media ecosystem.

  • Be in the know through proactively preparing and presenting evaluations of media content opportunities, content trends and key updates in the rapidly evolving content space
  • Craft smart briefs designed to deliver outcomes in line with strategy, client data and market expertise
  • Lead the content development process, from RFP to content delivery, with key stakeholder (publishers, content creators, client and internal teams)
  • Liaise with legal to create and approve contractual agreements with media partners and client
  • Guide the creation of assets (including but not exclusive to content) including proofreading, creative direction etc
  • Manage timelines, priorities, communications and deliverables with all key stakeholder and identify opportunities for greater efficiencies
  • Mitigate and proactively resolve issues
  • Understand and implement digital tagging & QA process
  • Evaluate work in progress to ensure effective delivery against brief (strategy, brand guidelines, KPI’s etc)
  • Work with analytics team to create and deliver regular reporting with strong insights and clear point of view regarding campaign optimisations
  • Effectively manage campaign finances, including calculating fees, accurate finance system upload, reconciliation and invoice management
  • Build and foster strong client, internal and publisher relationships
  • Provide ongoing actionable feedback and training to junior colleagues, whether internal or external, in order to maximize performance and ensure their and your own development goals are achieved

    QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Digital experience a necessity (planning preferred but content production a plus)
  • Strength and proficiency in data analytics
  • Highly developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in the management of multiple stakeholders
  • Understanding of integrated cross channel media planning
  • Proven and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficiency with media research tools (e.g. Clear Decisions, Nielsen), and media tools (e.g. Prisma).
  • Post-Secondary education University graduate and / or advertising / marketing College degree preferred
